Feeling the pinch? For a credit crunch holiday this year why not visit Spain. Although the Euro has fallen against the pound there are still bargains to be had. Look further than just the cost of the holiday accommodation and flights. For example a bottle of wine can be purchased in a high street supermarket for as little as 0.75 Euros, which is excellent value. If you look carefully you will make your valuable spending money go a lt further!
One of our favourite Spanish spots is the Costa del sol. The Costa del Sol stretches for a 54 kilometre stretch of wonderful coast to the east of Malaga city (the capital of Málaga province). This is the 100km of coastline that begins at Malaga city and stretches westward all the way to the border of Cádiz province.
We highly recommend considering staying at Las Palmeras de Calahonda. at Calahonda as an excellent choice for apartments in Calahonda. Calahonda is a mere 25 minutes drive from Malaga International Airport, reached via either the coast road or the toll road. Furthermore it is only 60 minutes drive time from Gibraltar International Airport. Las Palmeras is majestically perched at the top of Calle de Don Jose Orbaneja, Done Jose being one of the foundling fathers of the urbanisation.
Las Palmeras enjoys panoramic views, which sweep over open countryside and mountains to the Mediterranean Sea. It is so quiet that if you listen you will likely be able to hear the call of a wild turkey or at night the call of the owls which live nearby.
The apartments at Las Palmeras are of a luxury standard with superior cooling marble flooring throughout. The majority have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a bath in each, shower over and double sinks.
If you are into sports for holiday entertainment then Calahonda is ideally placed since it has plenty of golf course in the vicinity and even has its own 9 hole course with easy access, Club Siesta Golf situated on Calle de Don Jose Orbaneja. Also situated on Don Jose is Club Del Sol, which has 12 tennis courts a gymnasium and much more.
If you do not fancy moving too far away Calahonda has three commercial centres, which house most of the development’s 45 restaurants, cafeterias and pubs as well as seven banks and several supermarkets. Calahonda is known locally as one of the leading and most popular residential communities on the Costa del Sol, whose population swells from just 14,000 to 45,000 in the high season. This of course ensures the migrant population is well catered for.
For those visiting holidaymakers who just want to relax quietly one can do worse than visit the harbours of Marbella and Puerto Banus. One of my favourite haunts is Calahonda’s own harbour, Puerto Cabopino, just 5 minutes along the coast road towards the island of Gibraltar.
So if you wish to go on holiday to Spain consider renting one of the many excellent Calahonda apartments by renting an apartment at Las Palmeras de Calahonda.
